Unique Origin

The Dalmatian’s history is long and full of legends. Traces of spotted dogs are found in Egyptian historical records, so they certainly are an ancient breed. Legend has them coming from northern Europe with bands of gypsies. Since some very early records of Dalmatians are found in Dalmatia, some believe they come from Yugoslavia. Whatever the origin of this beautiful breed, they have been in Europe since the Middle Ages.
